Elementary school lesson

I visited Elementary school in Edogawa-ku Tokyo and attended art class(clay work). I made clock shape out of clay with many students.Students were very kind and open minded to me (foreigner or outsider). Some teached me how to mold proper shape and some helped me to do so. And they showed me their work(beetle, piano and rose etc). This experience reminded me the importance of doing ,doing and doing before theory and argument.

Unknown resource - water -

According to today's ASAHI, the government are going to export water produced at sewage disposal plant. Water do not exist evenly and water is needed constantly in several countries. And this plan is in order to satisfy the industrial use of water in mining companies. I think this is hopeful doing in the near future. There may be other unknown resource inside Japan.

Home agriculture

I planted cucumbers and tomato in planter yesterday. I expected those plants grow properly and gave them fertilizer. And after planting, shower had come and felt a little cool afternoon. I was refreshed.

English School by Skype

I began to learn English conversation through Skype (remote communication tool) . The lesson is very effective for me because I have to say and make communication with teacher through the Internet and those teacher cannot use Japanese. Many of those teachers are university students in Philippine. I would like to continue this program and improve English skills more.

Delightful and meaningful discussion

The popular program Prof. Sandel(Harvard) lecture of NHK has finished last week. I watched the last program today by video. I was very impressed by the active discussion and the good atmosphere at this lecture. The attendant(students) have different kinds of background and many diverse opinions. Those lecture style is very impressive to me. 

Strong yen, Weak mind.

86yen=1 dollar. Yen is very strong. The reason of  this  is not clear. We should make use of this situation.

English, public language.

RAKUTEN (Japanese famous internet shopping mall company) decided their public language from Japanese to English. This is because this company is now growing abroad and the foreign workers are increasing. This episode is symbolic in business scene. Almost every kind of business is related to foreign growing market so the business language turn out to be English in many cases.
