The policy flaw may expand

As today's NIKKEI column 'KEIZAI-KYOSITU' said ,the new regulation of commercial loan accelerate the people who needs public support without new loans. This means that one regulation affects business model and people's living and may turn out to be a new public bear.  

Singapore visit

I visited Singapore 4days with my family last weekend. I was very impressed by the many construction begun in many places inside the city,new Hotel,new F1 race place, casino,apartment-houses and new subway. This means how vigorous the Singaporean economy is. Japanese should know and compare Japan with Singapore. I would like to search and study the Singaporean strength.

How to educate oneself

Japanese should educate oneself more and more adjusting and fitting to the growth of Asian countries. Especially the speed and motivation is important and hardly needed to us.

Environmental value

Japanese government should think about environmental value in Japan. For example, environment to challenge new business, study,have family,and live comfortably. If one policy make the environment worse,then the government should think and remake the rule or policy. 

How to manage under "strong Yen"?

The strong Yen are going to be 83yen per 1$. It makes our living changed throughly. But we do not have concrete image of this new living. I think that the government should show and advice to Japanese people about how to manage and get their living better ,under this excessive strong Yen.

Deflation continues. What causes this?

The price of daily foods and commodities are going down recently. The strong yen is one reason of this. But on the other hand, we are not impressed by new innovative or brand-new goods nowadays in Japan. This makes today's deflation accelerated.  

Finding job after promised employment?

According to today's NIKKEI, university students are finding jobs after promised employment. What is this? I cannot understand their decision. They should do job first at  any company and after that they think about what to do to the job.Job hunting looks like bargaining which bring surplus thinking after getting that.

Health is infrastructure for economy

According to VOA(Voice of America)'s news 17 August 2010, Cancer's in 2008 economic toll  is nearby $900 billion equivalent to about 1.5% of world GDP. Health has much to do with economy and productivity. And also health is one of the infrastructure in the economic society because those productivity and performance is enable when people are healthy.

GM will return to the market

GM has applied to IPO August.18. It means that GM's revival become near. This speedy process and change will teach us that we Japanese could do the same because the law and the rule for company's rival plan was imported from US. The difference between US and Japan is not the rule but the work.

Going to provate is the chance of growth

The committee of privatizing NIHON-YUSEI has held yesterday. The Chairman Mr. Tanaka said that NIHON-YUSEI should not expand new business until this privatization start. This suggestion is understandable.And if this privatization is going well, Japanese may have some expectation to Japanese business in the near future.This case may be the "touchstone".  

Young labor support plan

According to NIKKEI, the government is going to support young people to get job. This plan is expected to be a good effect to their lives. And also old-veteran workers is expected to support young labors to get working skill and living skill,I think. Its not only the problem of work or money but also the problem of skill up or motivate themselves. 

Japan as Number Three

China has passed Japan and be Number two in GDP. This news reminded people of Chinese power and growth in these days. Japanese should know this trend and begin to think and do something. Do not give up.

Brain co-operation project

The cloud computing (use many computers cooperatively to solve complex task easily) is very popular in these days. Getting hints from that, we may do and solve more difficult matter by co-operating our brain. It is just idea,but how and what should we do to it? It may begin as something like "friendship",I think. In education scene, we should try to co-operate many people's brain to solve the problem. This experience is going to be good hint to them in the future.

Entrusting of making policy

According to today's ASAHI GLOBE, Prof.Suzuki said that the Democratic Party of Japan has mistaken to operating the government by politician not by the bureaucratic government. This is because there is not any political infrastructure except the bureaucratic system. What we need is this infrastructure; nongovernmental political think-tank etc.This reform will activate the bureaucratic system through interchange of personnel between the government and these NGO.

The anniversary of the end of the war

Today is 65th anniversary of the end of the war. The fact of the World War 2 is reported and discussed in this day. So we Japanese are able to know those fact and remind the value of peace.

Imagination leads to substantial new demand(Game)

According to today's ASAHI, a game (DS;Love+) boom get their many fans to visit the place "ATAMI"(Japanese famous hot spring and sightseeing area). This phenomenon activates this area. I think that this makes us reminded how to motivate people to do or challenge something.

How to activate labor ability

Excessive strong yen lead to change the shape of Japanese economy.The manufacture company for commodity is going to go abroad more. And the opportunity for getting those job inside Japan will decrease. So the part of  labors in Japan may need to change their job. So educating themselves to prepare for getting new job is going to be more important.

Think for whole company

As today's NIKKEI column "KEIZAI-KYOSITUI",Prof.Ito said that Japanese companies tend to think for partial not for whole company in this 2 decades. This leads to weaken Japanese companies capability for keeping up with changing world.

New loan plunge mystery

After the new loan-business-law started, new loan in customer loan has fallen by more than 30 percent in June. Where has the needs of loan gone for ? The government should investigate this matter.

Innovative industry is needed in Japan

As the today's NIKKEI column KEIZAI-KYOSITU,Japanese economy do not change to advanced economy yet.This is mainly because the fast change may suffer those workers in traditional companies. But about 20 years has passed already without radical change.In this two decade, the world has changed. We should think and do to this change.Especially the innovative change in some advanced companies.  

Post merger.. provide profit

According to BBC news, US giant Kraft has reported higher than expected first quarter profit.This is because of one merger;acquiring Cadbury in this year.That merger was controversial,with a lot of disagreement or argument,but it turned out to increase the profit of Kraft. And the process of after merger is also remarkable.About one third of Kraft's top 30 executives are from Cadbury.

No more atomic bomb

Today is the day of Hiroshima(August 8) atomic bomb. We should know and remind the necessity of peace. 65years has passed from the day. But there are several war in the world. So we must get and keep every one's peace. 

Japanese companies role had changed?

According to today's NIKKEI column "KEIZAI-KYOSITU", Prof. Noma said that Japanese companies did not R&D and facility investment recently rather than the past days(before 1980s). And contrarily those companies increased the dividend. What does it mean? Prof. Noma point out that those companies prefer distribution rather than growth or future business. This means that those managers may give up the management itself. It is a serious problem.   

Where is elder people?

According to newspaper, several elder people(over 100 years old) is unknown where they live. This is something like "Mystery". This episode is reflected how the local community and neighborhood community is collapsed today. The truth must be revealed for those people, pension system and also for Japanese society itself.

Grobal 30 ～increasing international students

Yesterday I attended meeting about G-30 project (increasing international students in Japanese university). We discussed the matter of how we should welcome and treat international students to activate Japanese universities. For that purpose ,in Japanese university the curriculum in English is needed. And also the special study which interests those students is also needed. On campus life the attitude of Japanese students is important. Open minded and having many interest about foreign countries is demanded.

Summer festival season

August has come. The summer festival season has started. Today, famous festival NEBUTA-festival start in Aomori. I visited and took part in this festival twice when I was university student. I was impressed and appreciated what the festival MATSURI is. MATSURI is living itself.

Innovation training

Today's NIKKEI column, Prof. Lester C Thurow said that what Japanese need is not strong export power but "innovation". Recently,Japanese companies do not produce innovative product.This is the biggest problem in Japanese Economy.And he also said that for innovation, its not the governmental matter but educational matter to solve this serious theme. This opinion refreshed me. Proper education can stimulate student's innovative mind and this change will turn out to be a real innovation in the future.
