International exposition in Shanghai

Expo Shanghai starts today!! I expect that this event will stimulate our mind and show us the positive image in the future. I will enjoy this event through the Internet and TV program.

Public purpose VS Private purpose

JAL announced restructuring plan yesterday. 45 flight route(about 30%) are going to be abolished. But on the other hand, several Local government do not agree this plan because they need to keep the flight route to their Pref. Public side's needs versus Private side's needs. But we must not waste time and national money.

Create new society by using private money

Today's NIKKEI column DAIKI-SHOUKI said that even if Japanese government have not enough money to upgrade society, private wealth is able to be good use quoting Mr Maejima and Mr Bill Gates.I think that this idea is very impressed because it may be breakthrough without tax increase.

Prices move slowly?

According to today's NIKKEI, BOJ are going to announce that prices will get out of deflation in 2011FY. I think that this annoucement will stimulate the market to adjust to this new stage. In this new stage, the rule of business is going to be changed speedily. What we need is speed to keep up with this change.

Hopeful immigrant from Yunnan

According to today's ASAHI SHINBUN, the number of immigrants from inland area of China(Yunnan etc). This article is about one young girl from Yunnan to Tokushima pref agricultural workers home.She makes effort to master the agricultural skill and get Japan Yen to support her families life in China. I had been to Yunnan about 20years ago, so I was very impressed by this article.  

We must sell something to buy anotherthing

NIKKEI-Business 4.26, the theme is "Withdraw to win". This is very interesting and suggestive idea. In this some wealthy society,we often hesitate to change or stop something to start another project. But there are many cases that company grow after giving up some profit-making business.

Restructuring process"JIGYO-SHIWAKE vol.2" started yesterday. House Loan work is going to be reduced but on the other hand postal savings are goint to be expanded. Where is the government going for in the future? I get anxious about this situation.

Private English school default again

Geos,famous English school in Japan, has gone bankruptcy April 21. In recent years several big English schools got default and many students lost their advance payment. Through those experiment or announcement, many Japanese people are hesitating to go to those schools so the market of English school  is not growing,though English is getting more and more important for us.

Learning ability is different from working ability

Those two types of ability should be discriminated and working ability is needed in business scene.In Japan learning ability is well activated by preparing for the entrance examination of university. On the other hand, working ability is not taught properly. The working ability is often taught on the job training, and those teaching process is often unclear or hard to be distinguished, so some workers lose chances to be trained themselves through those tacit training. 

Idea is born from creative custom

According to todays TV program(morning satellite), some company has good profitable product because workers have creative custom ; produce small idea to change their work and products.The president said that this company give special small bonus(500-yen) per new every idea. This may increase new idea and product.

Next restructuring

Governmental restructuring 'JIGYOU-SHIWAKE vol.2' has started. This time educational or research section occupy an important position. I expect that this policy is going better for efficiency of governmental work and reserach. And more this makes nongovernmental sector activated.

Passive nature

According to the research by young people research institute, Japanese high school students are passive to study. They study often by mastering the textbook rather than trying or debating something. I think that this style is not good way to study what is changing drastically and fast in these days.

National finance collapse?

NIKKEI BUSINESS 4.19 Mr Hujimaki ,Janpanese famous trader,said that national debt has excessed over control. So market members are goint to think that Japanese national finaice will collapse and sell Japanese debt- futures. I think that Japanese government should decide and announce the strategic policy to manage this debt. The time is going to be short.

NIHON-ITAGARASU Japanese famous glass-board maker selected a foreigner for next president. Glass-board makers are struggling in global market,so president must have global-mind and english-communication ability. Those conditions make new leader. This case get us aware what happen next.

Economic recovery is expected this quarter. Trading real estate is going better and investing to rising area is going to expand more. We are looking forward to business and economic  recovery.

Business difficulty in rising countries

According to today's newpaper, Japanese contructiong companies face slump in business gain. The reason is cost.After winning in bid, the constructiong cost has rised excessively.It will be more needes for those companies to manage the cost and speed of construction and needs legal strategy(contract etc.), I think.

Abolish the president

According to today's paper, Google inc is going to abolish the president position in Japan inc because of strengthening the governance. I think this is very unique policy because to expand the business companies usually devide the power of governance. I think that google choose speed rather than expansion.

Theory is not enough for management

According to NIKKEI BUSINESS 4.12, Mr.yamamoto(the president of business hotel chain) said that it is not enough for management to find the theory of the business. Those kind of management will turn out to be a confusion inside the company.I think that is very important.Theory is true just under some condisions and in real business those condisions are changing continuously. So theory is not enough for management.

To discount or to change work

According to BOJ(Bank of Japan)'s research, supply exceeds demand in domestic category of business, for example restaurants,hotels and textile industries. I think this research said that those kinds of business management should change their today's business and if not so they suffer from excessive discount war among rivals.Those discount war exists in beef rice bowl(GYU-DON) fast food restaurants.  

Net News chaos

It is said that paper-based news will be changed to net-based news. Certainly many paper-based news's business is not good because they cannot get neccessary income from advertisement.But on the other hand, net-based news has not grown up to paper-based news level. So I worry that people are going to lose good media to get neccessory information. Internet do not inform us automatically because there are not system to select and edit for us. It is serious problem. 

Eel farming succeed

According to today's newspaper, eel farming succeeded completely. I think this is remarkable think for us because those marine products is going to be rare and become hard to supply plentifully. Those kind of research is valuable and delicions.

Wise integration

According to today's newspaper,China is goint to integrate 127 governmental companies to 80 before 2020.Its purpose is to improve business quality and contral investment properly. I think this is proper for long term vision. We Japanese government should study from this management. 

Anyway,that is a bad road

Governmental companies harass private companies in Japan. Especially communication,media and mail service company' case are noticeable.When governmental companies have power, private companies will be depressed, on the other hand , when governmental companies fail in business nations will be beared its debt. We should think how to balance the governmental business and private business, I think. 

External ability

I heard some opinion about ability to be educated. His opinion is that we should educate not only internal ability but also external ability(for example communicating or presentation ability).It is very interesting idea, I think.

Oden food in Shizuoka

I went to Shizuoka to visit my relatives. And I visited a Oden eating house at Shizuoka station. Oden is a popular and famous Japanese food(containing all kinds of ingredients cooked in a special broth of soy sauce,sugar,sake). Shizuoka style Oden is unique. Shaking fish-meal-powder is on the top of oden.It was delicious and rich taste.

New parties rush has come

Several political new parties is going to start this spring,preparing for next election. I think that Japanese people keep calm to this movement because people will  feel that  the purpose of those parties(especially gathering menbers from completely defferent political situation) is for getting their seat , not for creating new good policy.

Real difficulty may be more serious

According to today's newspaper column, there is a doubt about the unofficial decision ratio of university graduates(almost 80%) .Because this data is made by sample hearing(only 62 university 6200 person ). On the other hand, Chiba labor bureau accounced that the ratio is 57.8%!! by hearing every university all 23,000 person in Chiba area. I think we should think the situation is worse than 80% and know how to get students have their job to grow themselves.

New year has started

Today is the first day of fiscal year.Many Japanese companies and governments' fiscal year start April 1 and end March 31. I will get focused and do my job with more intension and also with humor.
